You Start I Finish, established in 1986, has over 25 years of experience providing overall race management and finish line coordination services to over 80 races in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia area. Distances ranging from 5K to Half Marathon.  YSIF provides a range of pre-race and race day services, timing services, and post race services.  These services are listed and described in more detail under the Services toolbar option.  Exciting news!  You can rent our Start/Finish Arch for your event, with or without our finish line services.  View the Arch on our Services page.

This page provides links to our clients race websites and, for more detailed information, a link to their electronic race entry webpage, race application, and certified race course maps.  Current year race results are also posted under the Events toolbar option.  Click on the Archives toolbar option to access race results from past years.  The Clients toolbar option lists all of our current race organizers and a link to their organization's website.

The History toolbar option lists all of the races that we have worked and displays them in a table format.  One table shows the races we provided finish line coordination services and the other one overall race management [race director] services. The tables list the name of the race, and the years we have provided services, with the most current races listed at the top.

Our Toolkit toolbar option provides tips for Race Directors, with sample forms and documents for preparing for and conducting their race.  A Race Timeline, Financial Spreadsheet, Community Notification, Volunteer Signup Form, Sentry Instructions, Registration Instructions, just to name a few, can be downloaded and customized for your event.  Links to USATF explain how you can obtain course certification, apply for sanctioning, and obtain liability insurance for your running event is provided. The toolkit page also provides a link to a national, searchable, on-line website calendar to list your running event.  Runner related calculators are also assessable on the Toolkit page.
